  1. Accurate information, including estimates of population coverage and disease burden, is essential to achieving project targets

 

  1. Good communication and coordination with the Government (where government is not implementing project) early in the application process is essential

 

  1. Projects should identify community stakeholders prior to commencing project to ensure positive collaboration

 

  1. Be prepared: the pace of implementation in fidelis projects is very rapid – ‘you don’t walk, you run’

 

  1. Project teams should be experienced to deal with the tight fidelis timelines

 

  1. Need solid information management system prior to project implementation

 

  1. Interventions should be carefully considered as some activities are not suited to the rapid case detection objective
